I believe it's 4 years of internship and residency in Neurology but I'm not sure.
Most premed students are science majors but you can be any major. You however will need to take the required classes which are usually Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics. Being a science major will only help the first few months of medical school but after that, I don't think it's that helpful.
