From my experience, it would depend on the terms of the scholarship.   Review the criteria with the funding organization.


I have seen scholarships for general education in any Bachelors or Masters Program, but I have also seen scholarships specific to a major or a specific institution..

This depends on the specific scholarships you have. Most don't have requirements for a specific major, but there are some that only fund certain majors. You should ask the scholarship donors that you got it from to find out!
