Remote data labeling

What platforms are there for this type of work that’s for real? The only one that I’ve actually had direct experience with, that actually accepted me and that I actually worked on for a while so far was Outlier.AI (Project Aether). I’m taking project for platforms. What’s that one that have the same type of level requirements and not a whole lot more. I’m also open to any other similar types of remote work options or platforms I can try and apply for, it can be Data Labelling, AI Generalist, Search Engine Evaluating, Audio Evaluation, Audio/Voice Recording, Typing, Writing tasks, voice/audio narration, data entry, email management/organization, virtual assistant, bookkeeping, or anything that’s of some sort of similar/relative in nature (preferably ones that you could say definitely have at least potential/possibility of earning like, REAL income doing, rather than just something like maybe a couple to a few dollars per day)!

Hi Abbey,
It's fantastic that you're exploring remote data labeling and online jobs. With your experience at Outlier AI (Project Aether), you know these opportunities can bring in real income when available. The key is to find platforms that are reliable, easy to use, and straightforward.

Here are some similar platforms to Outlier.AI that you might find interesting:

1. Data Annotation Tech: This is great for beginners, focusing on training and labeling AI models. You can earn about approx. $14–20 per hour, though the work may vary.
2. Appen: Offers data labeling, search engine evaluation, and audio tasks. Pay ranges from approx. $10–20 per hour, depending on the project.
3. Prolific: A research study platform that pays about approx. $6–12 per hour. It's more dependable than microtasks and fits flexible schedules well.
4. Clickworker: Provides microtasks like categorization, writing, and AI training. Earnings depend on task volume, but it can be a good way to earn extra money.
5. Rev / TranscribeMe: Offers transcription and captioning work, paying per audio minute, usually around approx. $0.30–$1.10. There's steady work if you pass the entry tests.

Other Remote Work Options:

1. Search Engine Evaluation: Companies like TELUS International and Appen hire for these roles.
2. Audio/Voice Recording: Appen and Lionbridge AI sometimes have speech collection projects.
3. Virtual Assistant / Data Entry: Platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Belay, or Boldly connect you with clients for ongoing work.
4. Bookkeeping / Email Management: Specialized platforms like Belay and Boldly hire assistants with these skills.

Things to Remember:

1. Legitimacy: Don't pay to start. Real platforms won't charge fees.
2. Task Availability: Even after being accepted, projects might not always be available. Consider this variable gig income.
3. Networking: Building a good reputation on freelance platforms can lead to more stable, higher-paying jobs.

My Personal Advice: Since you are in 10th grade and just starting out, try platforms like Data Annotation Tech, Appen, and Prolific. They are reliable, beginner-friendly, and will give you a feel for remote work. Later, you can explore transcription or virtual assistant roles for more variety.

You are asking the right questions early on, and this curiosity will help you find opportunities that pay and build future skills.

Good luck as you explore these paths.
