How many years in collage does it take to be an Ophthalmologist?

Just not sure! I want to be an ophthalmologist when I grow up but, I don’t know how many years in collage does it take to be one?? If anyone has an answer please let me know!!

Actually, quite a few I think. First pre-med, then med school, then specializing in ophthalmology. You can probably find the exact number on the internet. Or, better yet, make an appointment with an ophthalmologist and ask them.

I think it is great you want to become a Ophthalmologist!You will need to complete four years of college, four years of medical school, a three year residency program in ophthalmology, and one year of internship at a hospital.
