Thank you for your question. I am glad to know you have interest in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering.
Below are my suggestions :
1 There are many careers relared to either of the subjects or both
For Computer Science, would you like to become a web developer, apps developer, AI model engineer, cybersecurity, application support, etc
For Mechanical Engineering, would you like to be a vehicle engineer, marine engineer, escalation engineer, robotics engineer, etc
You can find out more related careers online
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Attend the information sessions host by computer science and Mechanical engineering department of colleges
4. Seek guidance from.your mentor, school career counselor, your parents, etc
5. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
6. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges
Hope thus helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Choosing between Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering really comes down to what interests you more. If you enjoy programming, software development, AI, data, and solving problems through code, Computer Science may be the better fit. If you are more interested in designing physical products, understanding how machines work, robotics, manufacturing, and applying math and physics to real-world systems, Mechanical Engineering may be a better choice.
Both fields offer strong career opportunities, and there is more overlap between them than most people realize. Areas such as robotics, autonomous systems, digital twins, simulation, and AI-powered engineering bring together skills from both disciplines.
My suggestion would be to explore both fields before making a final decision. Try an introductory course, a small personal project, an internship, or even a related club. The major you choose should match the kind of problems you would enjoy solving every day, rather than being based only on the current job market.
If you are already leaning toward Computer Science, start by building a small app, learning Python, or exploring a simple AI project. If you enjoy the experience and feel motivated to learn more, that is usually a good indication that you are moving in the right direction.
