Rupam’s Answer

Simran - Mathematics is not a compulsory subject to choose in the 11th Standard. Depending on whether you chose to pursue Commerce, Arts or Science, there are various combinations of subject you can select without Mathematics. It is best to discuss your interests with your school, seniors, teachers and parents. If you provide the stream you are pursuing, I can provide additional details

Arun Singh’s Answer

Maths is compulsory with Physics and Chemistry in Science stream if you are aiming for a career in Engineering. Instead of it, you can opt for Biology if you are more interested in Medical. In Commerce stream again Maths is optional whereas in Humanities/Arts I think it is not required at all. Whichever the stream you take, there are multiple career opportunities. You just need to decide what you want to be and strive towards achieving it. All the best!

Narayan’s Answer

Dear Simran,

In case you don't want to take Mathematics in Class 11, then you can take one of the following:

  1. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  2. Physics, Chemistry and Biology Technology.

I am assuming you are interested to take Science for which the above is applicable. However, in case you want to take up Arts/Humanities, then don't worry, there is no Mathematics taught in that stream.

Best Regards,

Narayan

Narayan recommends the following next steps:

Find out what are the courses offered in the school you are enrolling to.
Explore career options without mathematics and see what suits you the best.
