There are a variety of research opportunities that should be available through your undergraduate institution. Most of your science professors should have connections to a lab where you could dedicate a summer. As far as internships, I would focus on shadowing physicians in fields that you may be interested in. You could start by asking physicians that you know personally, like your PCP.

Most universities have a job board with listings for research opportunities. However, opportunities are somewhat limited during the era of COVID. You can try directly emailing the professors of classes you find interesting.
