You are asking about an interesting and important profession - safe, available electricity is as essential (if not more) to our modern world as just about anything else. And that's only going to increase as the push for renewable energy sources continues. In other words, there will always be work and demand for Electricians!

Like most any job, the amount you can earn is heavily influenced by experience and location. According to the US News & World Report, Electricians in your area (Stockton, California) can earn upwards of $70,000 a year.

Depending what branch and skill level you are you can earn anywhere from 30k up to 150k for more technical electrical positions.
