Communication skills (written and verbal) will serve you well. You need to be able to communicate with not only your manager and team, but also with customers and potentials clients. In the customer service industry, it's really important to always be polite, professional, well informed, and ready to admit when you don't know the answer.

Hi Anthony! The automotive industry is constantly on the rise. New technologies are coming out all the time. Stay focused and be open to continuous learning. Customer service is key if you will be customer facing. Most people don't understand car mechanics, so being able to "translate" issues to the customer to help them feel informed is a great quality. Stay open, stay positive, keep a curious mindset, and believe in your abilities!
