Hey Maura,

I am not in the field, but I have heard that under-water welding is "intense". Also, I've heard it's really dangerous.

If by "exciting" you mean "dangerous" then under water welding is pretty exciting :)

Less exciting, but the pay is pretty good would be a CWI:

Worth a read if you're thinking, "I could be a millionaire as a welder". It's not a bad profession at all, but might not be as lucrative as you'd imagine. Sorry about the 'republicans' title in there, but it is the Atlantic.
