Trey’s Answer

Mariam - I have a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering. In addition to as many biology, chemistry, physics, and advanced math classes that are available to you in High School, I would also recommend taking statistics and earth science classes. Also, if there is any intro to Civil Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, fluid dynamics, biochemistry, organic chemistry, or hydrology classes available to you in high school, those are key concepts to understand as an Environmental Engineer.

Also note that the Environmental Engineering discipline is primarily comprised of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Biological Systems Engineering fields. Many Environmental Engineers have B.S. degrees in one of those engineering disciplines first, and then follow up with a post-graduate degree (either Masters or PhD) in Environmental Engineering.
