Should I choose a career in environmental protection?

I know it is up to me but I was originally thinking biology. I think I would actually enjoy environmental protection better though. #environmental-science #life-sciences #outdoors #plants

Hi Rachel,

Great question. As you stated, this is a personal decision. One of the most difficult things you will have to do in college is to settle on a specific path. I would recommend the you pursue an associates of science in your undergrad as this appears to be you interest and then decide at that time what you want to complete your degree in. The people I was around during college and the professors I talked with helped me decide what I wanted to do in the future.

You need to ask youself how you want to be involved in environmental protection. Do you want to be on the political side or the research/engineering side. To help you narrow down your interest I would look at all the continued education offered to students with a bachelor degree in environmental protection. This will give you better insight as to what paths there are for you to take should you decide to pursue this. I would also look at statistics such as job availability. Good luck in the future.
