As an upcoming climatologist, can marine science, a major I have grown to love, work into my desired field #Spring25?
Basically, I have dreamed of being a climatologist since middle school and that dream was crushed when I got rejected at GA Tech and UGA for Earth and Atmospheric Science. However, I transferred to Savannah State and became fond of my major of marine science due to learning about the ocean and marine organisms. Since I did not lose my passion for climatology, I wonder if there is a way I use the knowledge I learned for climatology.

What should I major in college? It's a very personalized process but i'm lost.
I'm in college, my first official year, but I almost have my associate's degree already (due to AP and summer courses). However, I don't know what to major in, and I feel that I need to decide quickly. I know many people will say to go off your interests and what you're good at, but I don't feel passionate about anything in particular. I've noticed I take a liking towards history in a more casual way, and I do like sciences such as Bio and Chem (Took both as AP and passed exams). I'm okay at math, but I don't have an interest in it. For reference, I took Calc AB in High School senior year and passed the class but not the exam. As far as career interest tests, I've ended up being recommended various science and engineering jobs/majors, but I don't think engineering is for me. I don't think I have the discipline it requires when it comes to engineering because throughout school I've been able to fly through quite easily (which has set up bad habits as far as discipline of studying and putting in time after school). I've gone through school with flying colors, but I feel purposeless and almost like I'm wasting talent. I graduated recently in 2024, so it's quite early to say that, but I've graduated near the top of my class with a 4.195 GPA, and I just don't know what to pursue. I've liked science the most, but subjects like Bio and Chem are so complex and nuanced that I wonder if I've only touched the surface and it's too early to say if I enjoy it. I will say that some engineering sounded interesting, such as Biomedical Engineering or Environmental Engineering, but I'm not very hands-on and as I said earlier, I'm not sure if engineering is for me. I also have an interest in food in a general sense, if that helps at all. (Maybe something like a Food Scientist/Technician?) Any and all replies are appreciated. This became a ramble of sorts, but I wanted to get my thoughts out there, and I can provide any clarification with responses.

Good Internship opportunities ?
I am currently an A-Level student exploring different career paths and considering fields like Microbiology and Biotechnology as my primary options, along with Food Science, Toxicology, and Environmental Science. While I haven’t made a final decision yet, I want to gain relevant experience to strengthen my university applications and improve my chances of securing scholarships. Where can I find high-quality research internships or other opportunities—either online or, if physical it should be based in Pakistan—that would help me achieve this?

I am in A-levels first year, Which universities offer the best scholarships for international students in biotechnology and microbiology
Hi, I am in A-level, AS, and I’m currently studying biology, physics and chemistry as my three main subjects and Urdu, as an optional subject. I want help with which path I should choose. I have done some research and I am inclined towards biotechnology, microbiology as my main options and toxicology, environmental sciences, and food signs or some other good options, but I also want to explore more and see what other career options would I have with the subject that I have chosen in my AS level. Right now, I am in search of good universities that will provide me really good scholarships for courses in microbiology or biotechnology. Suggest me some good countries where I can study microbiology or biotechnology and I can get a good high paying job

Recommended environmental science related volunteer opportunities ?
Hi! I am a sophomore in high school, and I'm starting to think more about college and what I can do to increase my chances of getting into a college of my choosing. I'm currently taking AP Environmental Science, and I'm interested in entomology and other nature related subjects. I've done some beach clean-ups and volunteer work at nature centers, but I feel like I could do more. I was wondering what environment/nature related volunteer opportunities would be a good idea?

How are some good ways to get into conservation internships in Northeast Texas?
Hello, I am an undergrad biology student at TAMUT. I am pursuing a Bachelor's of Environmental Biology degree. My top goal is to try and land a job as a Wildlife or Fisheries Biologist for a state or federal agency. Unfortunately, that requires a degree in conservation for most of those agencies, which then requires me to pursue a graduate degree since a BS Biology will not cut it for most agencies. These positions also requires job and internship experience. For about a year, I have been searching for internships from the agencies in the Texarkana region, but the very few internships or entry level jobs I find are always several hours away. I am a volunteer for Texas Parks and Wildlife, but that will not help me land a career later down the line I am told. Does anybody have advice or resources?

As a high school senior, I feel fully prepared to embark on my college journey. My academic experience has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in a higher education environment. Throughout my high school years, I have maintained a strong GPA and have taken advanced courses in subjects such as math, science, and literature. These classes have not only challenged me intellectually but also helped me develop effective study habits and critical thinking skills that I believe will be invaluable in college. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have discovered a passion for environmental science. My favorite classes have been AP Biology and Chemistry, where I enjoyed delving into complex topics and engaging in hands-on projects. I am considering majoring in environmental science because I believe it aligns perfectly with my interests and career aspirations. Outside of the classroom, I have honed my skills through extracurricular activities such as the science club and volunteering at local conservation efforts, which have allowed me to collaborate with peers and develop leadership abilities. As I prepare for college, I am also excited about the opportunities to further develop my skills and pursue my interests. I have participated in internships focused on environmental sustainability, providing me with practical experience and insight into the field I want to enter. Overall, I feel ready and excited for the challenges and opportunities that college will bring.

Is Honors Physics as hard as APES?
I'm a junior in high school and I'm currently in APES (AP environmental science) but so far I'm not really getting anything and the workload is stressing me out. I'm in 3 other APs (AP Chinese, AP world, AP lang) that I value more than any AP science course I could take. I'm probably not going to do anything science-related as a career and I've never really been passionate/good at science. Last year I nearly failed Honors chem, but I think that's because I wasn't willing to put any effort in. I dropped honors and switched to on-level which I found insanely easy and relaxed, even fun at times! It also helped me focus on the subjects I genuinely cared about and found interest in, like APUSH. I don't want to breeze through high school and I know junior year is supposed to be hard, so part of me wants to stay in APES but part of me knows I can't do it. Oh and I should add that I'm in on-level precalc right now, and took on level algebra 2 last year. I'm good at on-level math and was good at honors geometry in freshman year but idk if my on-level skills would translate to honors physics. Anyways my question is whether Honors physics would be less rigorous but still challenging enough. I know APES and physics aren't really comparable subjects but whatevs. please help I am stressing a LOT and I'm kind of upset because I really really REALLY wanted to like APES.
