What are some abilities needed for a registered nurse that can help you with your average work day?

Hello, my name is Ruth. I would like to know this, for I want to go into the medical field. In addition, I have been pointed more towards nursing, and I would like to know how their abilities allow them to help the peopl that surround them on a daily basis. #college #doctor #career #medicine #nurse #healthcare #hospital-and-health-care

Hello Ruth! Personally I'm not a nurse but my mother has been one for almost 2 decades. On a day-to-day basis, I would think she'd advise firstly to push through lack of sleep. You're going to have days that are busy & you'll be pulling your hair out with lack of energy. Have a support system that you can vent to (this is important for really anything in life).

Also I feel she would advise to be empathetic & insightful. Really put yourself in other's shoes to maybe understand more where they're coming from, or why they may be acting the way they are. A lot of times people aren't themselves under stressful situations, so just keep that in the back of your mind. Best of luck to you!
