Are adolescent psychiatrists in high demand?

I did my senior project on adolescent mental health and I was wondering if psychiatrists specializing in adolescents are growing in demand? #psychology

The answer is yes. However, a psychiatrist must get a general MD before specializing. If you go that route, plan for the time and expense of 12+ years of post High School education. There are 4 years undergrad, 3 years medical, 3 years internship, and several years psychiatric specialization with education and internships after that. This also presupposes you can get into medical school which is extremely competitive.
