Is a career in livestock and farming a good option nowadays ?

I stumbled upon http://www.livestockcity.com/ and now I'm considering the path less traveled....any tips? Is it a good idea? #agriculture #farming #livestock #organic-farming

It is SUCH A GOOD IDEA!! We need to train as many young farmers as possible so we can continue to eat! Everybody eats! Growing food is tough, rewarding, awe-inspiring and IMPORTANT. You never stop learning, you get to be outside every day and you eat for free.


There are a lot of apprenticeship programs around the country that helps introduce and educate people who are interested in farming. check out goodfoodjobs.com or google farming apprenticeship programs. The other good thing about these programs is that you get to experience living in a different place for 6-8 months as a trial.

Farming is a good option, you should be able to train your self by visiting a few farmers who are successful.
