Hi Grayson,
What does it take to become a police officer? Mental and physical strength and agility, patience for a lengthy application process, graduation from a police academy -- and a relatively clean police record. There are five basic steps to becoming a police officer:
Meet the minimum requirements:
- Complete an undergraduate degree (optional)
- Pass the law enforcement entrance exam
- Complete basic training
- Move up the ranks

Hi! My father is a police officer and he has a high school diploma and he has a AA degree, if you want to have a higher position in the department then you will need a higher degree like bachelor degree, You will need to be physical, mentally, and emotionally prepared for the hardships and to maybe do some hard things in your career. Good Luck!!
