HI,
One important advice i would give you is to not to stop reading the newspaper just because you are not able to understand a few words
also please make a note of the difficult words that you find in the newspapers and try to search their meaning in dictionary
Reading newspaper is a good hobby that you have and don't stop it as this will help you in your future
Happy reading :)

RAVI’s Answer

Do not be afraid and do not give up. Everything is tough at the beginning. As time goes on things not only get easier and better, you will be an expert in comprehending things.
So, my simplest advise is "Do not Stop!".

Here is what you can do in the mean time:
1. Keep a dictionary handy to get meaning of some complex or new words.
2. Google/search on internet what it really means or to translate it into your mother tongue.
3. Talks to someone you know who may be able to explain what it means. Do not be shy. At 50+ I am still learning!
4. Watch some youtube videos on "English as a second language" topic.

More importantly have a smile and enjoy! It is all worth it!

Patricia’s Answer

Hello there, have you tried Google translate? or asking a friend to read the lines with you?
Thank you comment icon I thought of Google too. Beyond the translate function, just looking up definitions can really help. Charles Bosse
