How could I be able to make my own website?

I make clay figures as a hobby. I'm usually on my laptop daily. Interested in making my own website so I can make and sell my clay figures to those that are interested in having something to put on their shelves. #Creativity

That sounds so great! definitely look into Etsy shop to get you started. It is a website you can sign up to host your own store. Once you have a good following, you should launch your own store. Look into websites like Weebly, Wix, or Shopify.

Hey Kristofer,

Like what most above said, I would recommend Etsy. I buy stuff from individuals all the time on Etsy. If you are having heavy demand on Etsy, at that point it might be worth creating your own website. However, to answer your question, there are several website building applications that are free and can be found online. Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Blake

Lauren’s Answer

Have you looked into setting up an Etsy shop? Many craft small businesses begin here as it makes it easier to list your items and set up payment. Make sure to include search terms that are relevant to what people are looking for (i.e. "holiday gift" right now for the holidays) so people can find your listings!

Daryl’s Answer

Hi Kristofer,

I agree with Lauren and Deijana that if your goal is to sell your products as quickly as possible Etsy is a great option.

Another option I would recommend is Shopify, they will help you build your own website and setup things like payments and order, they have a step by step guide here:
https://www.shopify.com/blog/start-online-store

Finally, if you are more interested in learning how to build and code a website rather than just setup as quickly as possible I would recommend looking into an intro course on web building, and design. These are available through many options such as Coursera, Udacity or CodeAcademy.

Hope that is helpful and good luck!
