A’s Answer

One of the best opportunities from attending a top school is the ability to network and meet alumni. I often have people reaching out to me to learn more about my background, my career path and I'm open to always chatting.

Generally prospective employers prioritize reputable universities. Remember that employers receive alot of resumes/applications, and so they will cull through the resumes by looking for key content such as top universities, high GPA, extracurricular activities that demonstrate a well rounded person, summer jobs.

Hey Hamid, going to a top university definitely as its benefits. The biggest benefit is the networking opportunities. Another benefit is that it makes your resume stand out a bit more especially when you are applying for internships.

Jillian’s Answer

Going to a top university makes you look like a great candidate for many jobs on paper, but as A has mentioned, there's much more to it! You'll be studying under leading professors and researchers, have access to events with big-name individuals in your fields of interest, and enter into a network of very driven individuals. You'll learn a lot in the classroom of course, but the true benefit is getting to meet so many great people, who may want to work with you or learn from you in the future! Definitely a huge thing to take advantage of.

Marcus’s Answer

It helps a lot! Big companies always search students for top schools. If you think about some of major brands they are always looking for brilliant talent to keep the successful stories that they have. It's kind of a "pass" to be considered. Also, it's super important to focus on the networking that you build at that university. These colleagues could be your support net for all of your life! I definitely think it pays off!
