Shristi’s Answer

Hi Kendell - when you say Real Estate Industry, it is a broad question. You should research on exactly what role interests you within the industry. Do you want to become a Real Estate Investor? Real Estate Agent - residential/commerial? Lawyer? Broker/Lender? Short answer would be yes. You always need to have a good team to be successful in any field but depending on which pathway you want to pursue, you can work towards building a successful team. You should research first on what interests you and take it from there. Good luck and reach out if you have any more questions.

Michelle’s Answer

Hi Kendell, if you are thinking of becoming a real estate agent, then you have to have a licensed real estate broker take you under his or her wing. A real estate agent cannot go out on his/her own without a broker so essentially, you will become part of a team. That real estate broker can belong to a bigger company or on his/her own company. You do not need to belong to a large company to become a successful real estate agent. You can even become a real estate broker later on and build your own company and become successful that way.

Frank’s Answer

Hello Kendell. Thanks for your question. Probably your first role in a Real Estate Office will be going door to door knocking and asking people if they want to list their house for sale with the Real Estate company you work at. Get ready FAST! the first door you knock on might lead you to a person who is fed up with the previous Real Estate Agency and they like the looks of you and they are ready to sell today! Or they might ask you to come in straight away and ask you how much you think their property is worth on the open market or by auction. Its worthwhile contacting the local real estate members association in your area and find out when you can begin the Real Estate Agents Licence training courses? Remember you work for the Licensed Real Estate Office Owner. You are a member of his or her team and must do all in your power to maintain all of the Real Estate Property Rules and Regulations in the place where you live and work. Good Luck & Best Wishes!
