This depends on what college/university you will be attending.
In my experience we always had 1 professor in the classroom of 30-300 students. From there we would have 0 to 3 or 4 teacher's aids who are usually students that have taken the class before and excelled. Teacher's aids are usually the ones to answer any questions when there are a lot of students in the class.

Its usually one professor for each class. Sometimes they have teacher auds.
