I currently work as a full time graphic designer. I got a job straight out of college, which I attribute to the tremendous knowledge I gained during my undergraduate internship. While you learn a lot doing class projects, working with real people on real projects can exponentially increase your skills. Not only does internship experience make you more appealing when applying for jobs, but it makes you more prepared and less nervous when starting your first design job.

Internships are highly important for undergraduate students. Not only does it give you real-world experiences but it helps you understand when to adjust for your work and being on time for your workplace. Overall, a good practice run before getting a real job. Unless you can get a job as a design assistant or worked at a printing company that are required for you to use Adobe Creative Suite programs. The internship is the best to go for undergraduate students.
