Tips for an aspiring PA

I just graduated college with a dream to be a PA or a career in the medical field. I also really like NP but I'm having a hard time deciding. I don't know how to go about this or what would make me an #healthcare #medicine #nursing ideal candidate for PA school.

GINA’s Answer

In order to be a NP first you must be a RN and then you have requirements to meet in the area of practice you choose. First get your RN then decide what area interests you and then look into the requirements.

You might consider audiology as a profession. You will need a clinical doctorate degree. Audiologists generally have predictable work schedules, good pay, and low stress. You're able to work at a hospital, doctor's office, or private practice. Your able to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, cochlear implants, adults, etc.

Joe recommends the following next steps:

Research Au.D. programs
Shadow a local audiologist
