Francisco’s Answer

Hi again Brock!

The most rewarding part of my profession is probably to physically see the changes I designed and proposed being implemented and then working. I do a lot of manufacturing cells designing and adding technology to the cells, and just walking into the shop floor and seeing them in action, looking so efficient and successful, operators enjoying the improvements and having a better work environment, it just makes all the effort worth it.

Additionally, whenever I get the chance to mentor a young professional through their internship or helping them out as they start their careers, that is a whole different rewarding feeling. I think seeing them succeed brings a whole new purpose to my profession and makes my sacrifices and effort to open doors for myself, more purposeful by leaving those doors open for them.

Alejandra’s Answer

Hi Brock,

I work in cultural marketing and the most rewarding part of my job is being bold.

I worked at a lot of other companies that simply wanted to make the client happy, but now I get to push forward ideas and thoughts youth of today wish big brands would hear. I talk about race, gender rights, differently-abled bodies, and more! The best part is my clients appreciate me for it, and like the fact that we're willing to step outside the expected and deliver what people aren't as confident talking about.

To wrap it up, the best part of my job is that not only am I challenged to push beyond the expected, but I myself have to learn to think outside of my biases and really analyze why the world moves and works in the ways that it does. It's made me incredibly attentive of others, and I also am learning every single day.

Hopefully you can enjoy the same experience in the medical field!
