Do you think accounting has own course base?

I never learn accounting before. I get the lowest grade in total study life. #accounting

Thank you comment icon Hi Ena. What is a course base? I'm not familiar with that phrase. Are you asking about whether or not you can take courses in accounting? Jared Chung, Admin

Evelyn’s Answer

Hi Ena
My path has been the science route, until I did my MBA. As with other programs - Associate degree, Bachelor degree, or other certifications-- there is a base set of courses to take and then specialty courses to support your career field. The program for the MBA did include specific specialty courses in Accounting which were much different than finance or economics. Accounting courses were more aligned to the specific presentation and tracking of finances and budgets, as well as the presentation of a company's wealth over time. There was a lot of work with spreadsheets!

Simeon’s Answer

If you're worried about how well you'll do in accounting, I'll say that once you learn a lot of the basics and overall structure of accounting, it can be very easy to hold on to a lot of what is happening in the course. If you get confused, reach out to the professor. Most professors I knew were very accommodating to students who sought them out seeking better understanding. They'll usually work with you to help you pass.
