That's something for you to decide! Certainly having a love for science is needed in addition to a love for animals but also working with people. Being a veterinarian is not always enjoyable and definitely not an easy profession but there are definitely rewarding moments in the job - being able to treat animals and prevent further suffering which helps protect the human-animal bond.
