how do i get better at hairstyling and makeup?
I have wanted to become a hairstylist for a long time but I am not the best at doing it. How can I improve when not many people want to let me do theirs?

Hi Chloe,
If you are having trouble finding people that do not want their hair/makeup done, you could get a couple of mannequins to practice the hair. As for makeup, I believe there are some mannequins out there created specifically so people can practice putting on makeup. If not, try joining a makeup class, so you can meet new people interested in the same thing as you and you can learn with others. I'm sure there is a hair class where you can join in too! I hope this helps but good luck !

Do you do makeup and hairstyling as a hobby, or have you not attended a professional training programme?
If you have not done yet, you must apply as a trainee. As you said, you are not good at hairstyling yet; yet you can develop your makeup and hairstyling skills. You should get in touch someone who will guide you for the further process. You should have to obtain a state-issued licence before your application to the professional training program. You can develop your skills once you will watch videos on Youtube, you will do your own makeup and getting your hair done (dying your hair, extention etc.). Once you prepared, you should put all your previous work experience(s) or extracurricular activities on your resume/CV. Once you conpleted, you can send your cover letter (if needed) and your CV/resume for the application. Once you passed interviews and tests, you must celebrate your success. After interviews, they will teach you how to do makeup on someone's face and do their hairstyle with materials, yet you may be requested to practice your makeup and hairstyling skills to enhance yourself.
