how do i get better at hairstyling and makeup?

I have wanted to become a hairstylist for a long time but I am not the best at doing it. How can I improve when not many people want to let me do theirs?

Hi there! Start by taking classes and watching YouTube videos and Instagram reels. Practice on yourself and with friends who would enjoy a little pampering. Consider getting a job at a local beauty store like Sephora or Ulta. They offer regular training from different brands, and you'll get to try out various products, learning how they work on different people. Keep moving forward and remember not to compare yourself to others. You’ve got this!

Hi Chloe,
If you are having trouble finding people that do not want their hair/makeup done, you could get a couple of mannequins to practice the hair. As for makeup, I believe there are some mannequins out there created specifically so people can practice putting on makeup. If not, try joining a makeup class, so you can meet new people interested in the same thing as you and you can learn with others. I'm sure there is a hair class where you can join in too!
