To start learning about any subject, you should understand how you learn best. It could be via books/article, it could be face to face hands on, or even through online courses or conversations. AI is a hot topic and trying to learn it all is like trying to boil the ocean. Pick one that you think you would enjoy learning about and give it a shot. If you don’t find interest, try a different one.

Desmond’s Answer

There's a wealth of resources at your fingertips to delve into the fascinating world of A.I. It's intriguing to use A.I. itself to understand more about it. ChatGPT is an excellent tool you can utilize to craft a personalized learning plan, incorporating diverse resources such as books, YouTube videos, and classes. You simply need to instruct ChatGPT like this: "Assist me in expanding my knowledge about A.I. by creating a tailored learning plan at a college level within 6 months (or your preferred timeframe)." Feel free to specify if there's a particular aspect of A.I. that piques your interest, or you can request a comprehensive plan. ChatGPT is not only free but also an ideal starting point to construct your learning path and to learn by doing. It's truly an empowering journey to embark on.

Kerri’s Answer

AI is a hot topic currently. There are free trainings available online that teach the basics of the technology (prior posts share some examples), as well as free tools that you can start utilizing (i.e. Chat GPT). Start playing around with the AI tools to understand what they are capable of - even if its just to write an email or a question on a forum like this. Hands on experience is always the best way to learn (in my opinion!)

One tip from my experience:
AI chat bots provide as much detail as you ask for, so your prompts can be tweaked until you get the desired outcome. They are conversational tools, so ask for exactly what you want.

EXAMPLE of using AI to update my original answer from above:

AI is all the rage right now. There's a wealth of free online courses that can help you grasp the fundamentals of this exciting technology. You'll find some examples in previous posts. Also, there are complimentary tools at your disposal, such as Chat GPT. Why not dive in and start experimenting with these AI tools? Discover their potential - even if it's just for composing an email or posting a question on a forum like this one. Remember, there's no better teacher than hands-on experience, at least that's what I believe!

Here's a handy tip from my own journey:
AI chat bots are designed to deliver as much information as you request. So, feel free to refine your prompts until you achieve the result you're aiming for. These bots are conversational tools, so don't hesitate to ask for exactly what you need.
