So I'm a hairstylist, I work at supercuts, my job as a stylist is to cut hair in a timely and efficient manner. Some days are slow, so I make sure that our shop is nice and neat, that product is where it belongs, that things are labeled correctly, that everyone is getting their job done. On busy days that is also a goal that needs to be done, but we have to be able to push clients out quick and making sure they are leaving satisfied, if for whatever reason another stylist has an unhappy client my job is to step in and try to fix whatever the problem is.

Depending on your salon's operation you will arrive to work and prepare your tools and station for the day, you will work on your clients, help keep the salon clean throughout the day, and focus on your product and service sales.
