IB vs. AP (whats better)?

In California, what difference would it make for me to be studying under an IB-Diploma program or an equivalent AP program? For UC? For other universities?

I would advise that it’s more about taking advantage of the most rigorous curriculum at your school! If you have very few AP options and can only take ~2 AP classes per year, you are probably better off with doing the IB program to be competitive. If the offerings are comparable, it is more about what you prefer! If you are a good traditional test taker, you may choose AP; if you are not a good test taker and would prefer a project/essay format, you may choose IB. In California, IB is not quite as preferred as it is on the east coast, so you can choose your path according to your strengths. Hope this helps!
