Does becoming an actuary make you a strict person?

Being 14, I enjoy freedoms in my life and not having to watch over my fellow classmates. I believe that people should be able to get their stuff together themselves.

Actuaries are highly sought-after professionals who develop and communicate solutions for complex financial issues. Actuaries measure and manage risk. Becoming an actuary doesn't mean you're going to change who you are. You're personality is what dictates if you are strict or not. Now, the line of work may be strict in itself and you may have to adjust. For example, I'm a very serious person when it comes to work - but my home life is completely fun and carefree. Never change who you as a person.

The profession does require a certain level of responsibility and attention to detail, but it also offers the flexibility to be yourself outside of work.

It's possible to maintain your personal values and lifestyle choices while excelling in a career that requires precision and analytical thinking. Remember, your profession doesn't define your personality; it's just a part of who you are.
