How can I get my summer semester paid for?

I have loans that cover all of my semesters of school except summer semester and it is part of my program. So, it is going to have to come out of my pocket. I cannot take out a private loan and I cannot ask friends or family for the money. What is the best way to get money to help pay for that semester? #money #poor #graduate-school

Good afternoon, Wynter. If you are an ungrad student and have a credit balance after your long semester tuition and fees are paid, then I would suggest reducing the amount that is awarded to you during the fall and spring so that you have enough to cover the summer semester. Your financial aid award is based on your cost of attendance for the long semesters. Otherwise, you will have to apply for additional outside scholarships to cover the summer semester expenses.

You are unlikely to find one as this is a policy. I would consider finding an internship or job. Essentially, this is how many people pay for school, by working while in school. Tough but certainly gives you an appreciation for your course work. You can also speak directly to the bursar and ask for a payment plan so you can work, or even a grad assistantship.
