Rob’s Answer

"what is the best things i have to do" regarding music: Play in band. Make music with other people regularly. Practice your instrument consistently. Better to do 15 minutes each day than 2 hours each week. Beyond music: spend in-person time with friends and family. Keep up on your school work. Have fun!

Dallas’s Answer

Oliver, I’m glad you asked this question. Whatever your chosen instrument practice daily. Don’t make excuses, just make time to practice daily. The more you do that and make it a habit the more you will find opportunities the world of music.
The world of music is a big place but the openings are not very apparent. So, once you become more practiced at your chosen instrument, start practicing other instruments as well and when you become more practiced at those start thinking about recording, and mixing; study audio frequencies and learn why they are important and specific to each instrument. https://images.app.goo.gl/xLKgFnibNY3NWECf8
This is a really specific audio frequency chart with a lot of instruments. Check it out and if you have music classes at school or private lessons ask your teacher to explain the post recording audio mixing process to you and why it’s important to make sure the frequency of each instrument is tuned properly in the recording. If you play guitar like I do, get a tuning app for your phone, I use T1 Tuner. You can find it in any App Store. https://images.app.goo.gl/KbGCDZKPvHSMvLoS8
And here’s an easy tuning chart if you need one. Good luck!
