What field of psychology would be the best to pursue for me?

Growing up, I've always had a fascination with the workings of the mind, specifically what causes psychological disorders, I would like to work in a field more specialized for such a field

Thank you comment icon In undergrad you would do general psychology, but you can find out what fields/ specializations your professors are in and get ideas from them. Some of the professors will have research studies you can be apart of. For graduate level you can look into clinical or social psychology. I’d you want to go further you could look into psychiatry. Psychology is board you can go many directions with it LyTina Brown, MPH

Hi! Clinical psychology would be the right fit for you. You'll get the chance to study, research and learn plenty about mental disorders from the root, how the brain works, how all the human body is connected and how its translate to some behaviors. It has a lot of things that you can learn, that it is a bit difficult to put into just a simple answer.

My advice, take the time to look up the different fields in psychology, what are they main goals, what would be the laboral outcome that you would get going for it.
