How do I ask Finacial Aid for more money to stay next semester?
I dont want to move back home but the school is expensive.

You should look into the Excelsior Scholarship which you will have to qualify for, but it's really a large scholarship for students attending any CUNY or SUNY college. I left the link for information below.
Scholarships come in all different categories and requirements. I know it is a lot of reading, but there really is a lot out there in the way of assistance. Look for scholarships pertaining to your major, too. Your college may have some private grants that you can learn about by speaking with a financial aid officer on campus. Also check with the student services center and your academic counselor about grants and scholarships pertaining to your qualifications. There are many various categories so cover a lot of ground and apply for all that you meet the requirements for. It will be worth it. There are even unusual scholarships that are very exact with the requirement and there are so many more you can find through doing a search on the internet.
I would advise reading your college website, too because some colleges do post their scholarships on their website. Most of all, keep reaching out for resources and advice ! Best wishes !
