I have had 28 years in the medical field that started my Freshman year in High School from one single Vocational School Career Day. I spent the last three grades of my High School years looking into every possible avenue. I volunteered in a local Hospital, which lead me to getting hired Per Diem in a Plastic Surgery Center for almost 3 years. In those years I was able to connect with a volunteer coordinator for the hospital and subsequently sit and observe multiple surgical procedures, radiological studies and even a labor and delivery rotation. If there is one thing that I have learned in my many years in medicine… there is no job too big or too small when it comes to patient care. Find the job that speaks to you and gives you the most happiness and purpose wherever the opportunities present themselves.
