High school internships

Are there any internship opportunities available for rising sophomores and/or rising juniors in high school? Possibly in major technological industries such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc?

Career fairs are also a good option to meet people. Bring your resume, you can talk to people that are promoting their company and get an idea of what they do and see if you also have a similar interest and express your interest. If you have a passion for that area get the persons email or business card and contact them it can lead to an opportunity or at least to connect with others. This is what worked for me. Anyway you can connect with people with the profession it is a step in the right direction.

Many high schools and schools districts lean on the expertise of students to lead Genius Bars, providing support for faculty, staff and students. For example, you could take courses and receive certifications for iOS repair, etc. Check out this link specific to Apple https://training.apple.com/us/en/recognition
I am not certain, but perhaps a quick search may find that other technology companies may have similar.
Adding to "Matthew's Answer", the career page is a great place to research future roles and specifically the general duties and requirements to guide your choices in high school and beyond.

Great that you're trying to get an early start with internships. High School internship programs are somewhat rare, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't look into them. Some companies have designated programs for High School students. All of the companies that you listed should have detailed career / internship pages on their website where you'll be able to find what they offer specifically.

Adding into this thread. It's great that you want to find internship experience in high school.
1. There are a few programs out there depending on your interest in tech, whether that be coding or more business related. Google has this program for Black and Latinx students - https://codenext.withgoogle.com/.
2. In high school, we had some career panels. If you meet people that you find interesting, in high school and beyond, I would recommend starting to cultivate those relationships. Ask for an email, set up 30 minutes to have an informational chat about how they ended up there/advice. You can even ask to visit them on-campus (like at Google, Apple, etc if you're located in the Bay Area) and that's something you're interested in.
3. Also though, while going after opportunities is always great, don't worry if you don't have an internship in high school. You don't need to have your life figured out right now and there's no pressure to know exactly what you want to do for a career or even a college major. Have fun, learn new skills, and open up your mind to the world because there's so many paths out there that you might not even know about. Be a sponge and collect skills.
