What skills in college would be important to learn in order to make me more competitive in the field of biology and versatile for multiple positions?

I am currently a freshman at a 4-year R1 University. My university has many opportunities to get involved in research and hands on experience through professional clubs and student leadership roles. I am not sure what roles I should take on that are best geared towards my track and will give me valuable knowledge that I can apply in and beyond college. #Spring25

Try to grab some internships and see what companies are looking for. I'm not exactly sure what they want, but it's different everywhere. Consider trying internships in cities far from where you live, like Texas, California, or even in Europe or Singapore. This will give you a better idea of what they expect. You're just starting college, so you have plenty of time to figure it out. Keep going, and you'll find your path!
