Can you get choir private lessons?
Can you get music lessons in college as a no experience?. I want to join the choir, but I have no experience except for humming, due to my mom not allowing me to join the choir throughout school.

You can ask the choir director for some one on one time to get things better. Also volunteer to sing in church choirs and ask for assistance from the director and other singers.

Absolutely—you can get private choir or voice lessons, even with no experience. Colleges often welcome beginners, especially if you’re eager to learn.
Many schools offer music classes for non-majors and even private lessons (sometimes for a fee). Choirs also often accept students based on potential, not just experience.
Just let the director know you're passionate and willing to learn—they love that. You're not too late to start!

Of course, you can definitely take private singing lessons! My daughter had private voice lessons last year, and she absolutely loved them. Try checking out a local music store to find lessons near you.

Yes you absolutely can, all you need to do is look for private voice lessons in your area, and there are plenty in Ohio. Typically, choir directors and band teachers happen to already know any voice coaches in their area, you can also try getting a recommendation from your schools choir director which is more reliable than looking online, but keep in mind as well that you don't need a voice coach to be in a standard choir because that's the director's job. It is completely viable to talk to your director about joining without prior experience.
