Catherine’s Answer

Great question! If you're majoring in Biochemistry and aiming for pharma or research, consider a minor in Business, Data Science, or Computer Science.

• Business helps if you're interested in management or the business side of pharma.

• Data Science or CS is super useful for research, drug discovery, or working with big data and AI in biotech.

• Statistics or Public Health can be great choices too, depending on your focus.

Pick what aligns best with your long-term goals—but any of these will give you an edge.

A vast number of minors may suit having biochemistry as a major. These may include Data science, bioinformatics as well as business studies which may all be useful if you want to pursue a career in pharma.
