What jobs related to occupational therapy are available to people with a bachelors in kinesiology?

What kind of jobs related to occupational therapy are available to someone with a kinesiology BS who wants to continue their education and get a graduate degree in OT? I'm currently a sophomore in undergrad, but I'm thinking about what jobs I can get with a KIN degree after I get my bachelors that are closely related with occupational therapy, as a pre-OT student.

Hopefully you can time it where you finish undergraduate and go straight to graduate school. If you will need or want to work in between undergrad and grad school, maybe looking into some therapy tech jobs or therapy aide jobs at a hospital, outpatient clinic, sports medicine clinic, etc. Hopefully there's a counselor or advisor you could reach out to at the end of your kinesiology studies to help with job placements after you graduate. Best of luck to you!

With a kinesiology degree, there are several jobs that connect well to occupational therapy. Many people work as rehab aides or therapy techs in hospitals, clinics, or outpatient centers. These jobs let you assist therapists and gain hands-on experience with patients. You could also look into exercise specialist roles, wellness coaching, or personal training. These jobs help people improve strength, mobility, and health, which connects closely to what OTs do. Some kinesiology graduates also work in research labs or community health programs. All of these positions give you good experience while you prepare for OT school. They show admissions committees that you are committed to the field and already building practical skills.
