To be honest the sky is the limit to answer that Question as you can make a low end of approximately $40,000-$50,000 thousand a year if you work at a department store that offer personal styling like I did working at Nordstrom’s I made approximately that much my first year. Most the time working in a retail fashion business like this you work on commission and the better you sale and the more clients you gain and connect with the more money you can make as you can make a $10,000 check easy with the right sales and connections as I’ve seen it happen to others before so there really is no limit you just have to have a good personality and a good sense of style and everything should fall into place!

It really depends on where you are in your career and who you are working for. Entry-level fashion designers usually make around $40,000 to $60,000 a year. If you work your way up at a big brand or get a senior position, you could be looking at $80,000 to $120,000 or more. The really famous designers with their own labels can make millions, but that is rare and usually takes years of building a name, connections, and a lot of hard work. Most designers are somewhere in the middle, making a decent living but not getting rich overnight.
