Hi Drew. To manage your time effectively, you need to prioritize. This means figuring out which tasks are most important or urgent and doing those first. For example, if you have a big assignment due or an exam coming up, make those your top priority. Try to focus on completing the most important things first, and don't get distracted by less urgent tasks.

Another helpful strategy is creating a weekly schedule. Take some time at the start of each week to plan out your classes, work hours, and any homework or deadlines you have. Be sure to include time for breaks, relaxation, and social activities too. It's important not to burn yourself out by overloading your schedule.

Setting realistic goals is also important. It's tempting to think you can do everything, but it's better to set achievable goals each day. For example, if you know you have a lot of studying to do, don't try to schedule a long night out with friends. Instead, focus on getting your work done first, and then enjoy your free time once the tasks are complete.

One effective way to stay on track is using time blocks. This means setting aside specific periods during the day for certain tasks. For example, you could dedicate a few hours in the morning to studying, then set aside time in the afternoon for work or meetings. By focusing on just one thing at a time, you can be more productive and avoid distractions. Hope this helps. All the best.

Katie’s Answer

Hi Drew, I also attended the University of Cincinnati and here are the tips I used to manage my time effectively.

I began each semester by writing out the entire semester's assignments in my planner. This allowed me to have a full scope of my total workload for the semester. I also worked all four years in college, but I would try to work the same days so I was able to plan homework and my social life around that. I also would do the easy assignments (discussion boards, short quizzes, etc.) as soon as they were available so I was able to spend more time the rest of the week working on larger assignments, projects, and studying.

Thank you for your question. This is a good question. Firstly, you need to find a time management tool, eg Google calendar, ms outlook, phone calendar, etc.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Put down the time you need to attend lessons
2. Assign some time every day on your assignment, projects, etc. Review the materials covered in the class of the day.
3. Make sure you have enough time to sleep and do some exercise
4. You can then allocate the time for your leisure, friends & family gathering, etc. Id you have to do some part time job, you can assign the time as well.
5. You may need to put more time for revision before assessment
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!
