Colleges can take several months, sometimes up to a year, to respond to scholarship applications. This is especially true for students who aren't selected. The delay happens because there are many applications, and each one needs a careful review. Scholarships often rely on budgets, external funding, internal approvals, or limited spots. To win a scholarship, you need to be a strong applicant, make your documents stand out, and meet all the requirements. Some scholarships may also require extra steps like assessments, shortlisting, or interviews. Usually, colleges don't give feedback to those who aren't chosen. The process takes time because schools want to be fair and accurate, ensuring the funds go to the students who truly deserve them.
