How has neonatology changed since you started your career and are there new technologies or treatments are you most excited about in neonatal care?
For my Literacy class, I am completing a project that involves interviewing a professional in the medical field I'm interested in to learn more about their career journey and experiences.

In the 50+ years since I first began training as a neonatologist the capability to support preterm babies has advanced dramatically, from the mechanical ventilation technology standpoint and the pharmaceutical standpoint, the ability to manage nutrtion more completely, the ability to manage fluid and electrolyte balance--many areas. Infants that now survive routinely did not survive at all 50 years ago.
