Hello! I recommend getting a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. (BSN.) After graduation, work for one-two years on a general nursing floor in a hospital that has an NICU. This will enable you to gain experience, hone your skills, and gain confidence.. At that point you can apply for transfer to the NICU, and that unit will provide you with the specialized training you will need. Good luck!
