What should I currently be doing as a 10th grader who wants to go to college after high school to become a NICU nurse?
Currently, I'm watching YouTube videos and studying the information I need to know. I want to try to volunteer at any hospital, but I'm not exactly sure what I would need to do to volunteer. I'm also wondering what I can do to already be prepared and have most of my pre-reqs, if that's even possible for me right now.

Hello! I am a 8th grade student at Crane Middle School. I am interested in this because I enjoy learning about science and I’ve always wanted a job where I can help people through hard times. I think I would like this job because I would like helping parents when they need it and helping the babies get through hard times. I was wondering how many years of school it took you to get your degree? What is the main things you do in this job for example the tasks you need to do most days in this career? Is it hard to take care of the parents and help them with their children at the same time? Is this job good for people even if they get annoyed or overwhelmed easily? How do you stay calm and supportive when you have to give parents difficult news about their baby?

Im a junior in highschool and I started to look into colleges and I wanted to look into more HBCU's because they would have more people who Look like me (POC) also i'm taking all college classes and a nursing class to get my certification with EKG( specialized program from my school) and for my senior year i'm also trying out for a program that would allow me to work at the hospital's as a high schooler. Any advice or websites help!
