Hi Arihanna,
Thank you for your questions. That depends on what kind of story you are making.
If it's short, fast-paced and highly engaging story, Yes, TikTok is the ideal platform, where can help your story reach many people quickly because of huge audience and algorithms there.
If your story is visually rich (with vivid images or complex scenes), Instagram is a good platform, where is prefect for sharing visually appealing content and building a dedicated fan based.
If it's longer, narrative-style stories, you can try YouTube. If you want to discuss and refine your ideas with a community of readers and writers, you can try Reddit Blog is also a platform for more literary or long-form story.
Hope can see your story soon. Best wishes.

It depends on what you want to achieve with the story.
If you’re mainly looking for feedback and people to discuss the idea with, start with writing communities, Reddit, Discord communities, or writing groups. You can share the premise, characters, or a short excerpt rather than the entire story.
If your goal is to build an audience, then TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts can work really well. You could post things like:
“The idea behind my story”
Short character introductions
A 30–60 second scene
“What if…” hooks from your story
Behind-the-scenes of your writing process
If your goal is eventually to publish the story, research publishers, literary magazines, competitions, writing contests, or platforms such as Wattpad depending on the type of story.
I’d actually recommend doing all three in stages:
Write → Get feedback → Build interest → Publish/share the full work.
And don’t post the entire story publicly just because you want to promote it. Start by sharing small pieces that make people curious about the world and characters. That lets you test whether the concept connects with an audience before putting all your work out there.
