Is being a Speech Pathologist a fulfilling job?

I'm going into my freshmen year of college in the fall and I'm really interested in speech language pathology, but I'm worried that I'll regret not getting a job that is more "essential" for the community. I love working with people and want to make sure I would feel fulfilled in a job like that.

Do you like to help people? Do you want to be in high demand? I was highly essential during the COVID 19 pandemic if that makes you feel any better lol. What’s more essential to a human being than eating food and drinking liquid…besides maybe communicating with others as the social beings that we are lolol just food for thought. Chew and swallow it safely ;)
Thank you comment icon Hey Nicole, it sounds like you do find your job to be fulfilling specifically because it allows your help people and you are sought after. Can you share more on that or offer any other ways you've found the job to be fulfilling? Gurpreet Lally, Admin
